A Little Bit About Us
It started one night in Los Angeles when a small group of friends wanted to do something different for dinner. When the idea of sushi came up, one friend had plenty of experience. Everyone took turns creating their unique rolls, learning along the way. What started out as a casual dinner quickly evolved and it soon became evident to all that this experience would grow beyond that kitchen.
And just like that… Roll This Way was born.
After moving back to his hometown of Toronto, Chef John Hoffmann attended culinary school to strengthen his knowledge. Soon he was traveling across Canada with Cirque du Soleil, feeding thousands of VIP clientele, further honing his skills. In 2017, his wife joined the team and helped to open Roll This Way’s first Sushi Bar at the prestigious Windermere House in Muskoka. In 2018, The Thompson Hotel Rooftop was home to their second residency.
Today, after thousands of weddings, corporate lunches, bar mitzvahs, bachelorettes and birthdays, our team of skilled chefs are eager to make your next event one for the books.
